Campus Wayfinding Settings

Overview

Campus Wayfinding Settings is designed to allow users to adjust the weights of  indoor/outdoor line segments, floor switch point (elevators, stairs, and escalators) to manage routing.

  1. Select “Campus Wayfinding Settings” from the left-hand navigation panel.

The following page will be displayed:

To manage a particular weight for the entire campus increase its value by increments.

Example if “Elevators” are the preferred routing for the entire campus, increase weights for other floor switch points (stairs, and escalators) to increase the likelihood routing algorithm will select “elevators”. 

With default settings: Route from Project Manager A. Roman to Auditorium E takes “elevator”.

After increasing weights for “stairs” by “10”: Route from Project Manager A. Roman to Auditorium E takes “stairs”.

  2. Outdoor Path Segments: Default weight =
  3. Entrance and Exits: Default weight =
  4. Stairs: Default weight =
  5. Elevators: Default weight =
  6. Escalators: Default weight =
  7. Floor Distance Weight (Distance between floor levels): Default weight =
